About Me

I graduated from the University of Manchester Medical School in 2000.  Following house jobs and basic surgical training I undertook my specialist training in Trauma and Orthopaedics in the North West Region.  I completed my Fellowship Training in Spinal Surgery in Manchester and Birmingham.  Having been awarded the prestigous Soli Lam Spinal Fellowship by the British Orthopaedic Association in 2008/9 I undertook travelling fellowships in renowned centres for Spinal Surgery in Germany and Switzerland.

I commenced my consultant post in the Department of Spinal Surgery at Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust in 2010.

My clinical interest is the operative and non-operative managment of spinal disorders.  My specialist interests are the range of conditions affecting the adult spine from the cervical spine (neck) to the lumbar spine (low back), from degenerative disease to deformity, trauma and tumour surgery.
